Higashikawa rice, 4 seasons.
Asahidake, rice and water, everywhere in Higashikawa.
Mount Asahidake can be seen from any of its windows.
Water of Asahidake flows through its rivers, streams and faucets (excellent mineral water, free for its citizens).
And grows its rice.
Rice fields mark the four seasons:

Rice fields mark the four seasons:
Winter
Mother earth rests under the white.
First snow in Higashikawa.
Spring
Rice fields are flooded
Rice grows and Higashikawa becomes green. Bustle of frogs at night.
Summer
The sun shines the gold.
Autumn
Grain is collected and fields burned.
Generous land deserves a new break.
Warehouses are full.
